Because it is very flexible and sensible, solid rod is popular among senior anglers in Japan. Although solid is heavier than tublar, you can never thank solid enough for its non-resisting fish bite. Tublar sometimes cope against fish bite and let fish give up absorbing the bait. But solid follows fish bite and fish never sense at the end of the rod is anglers.
Nowadays solid rod has been improved very much. Former solid rods bend differently depends upon the direction the rod is pulled. That occures because lesin is not dispersed within the rod, some part dense, some part scarce.
The lesin of the latest solid rod is dispersed uniformly, so, rod always bends same way regardless of the direction rod is pulled. That is quite important when you want to fish with finnesse bait.

It was quite a sensation when new Sertate made its debut. It equipped real four functions, that is real engine, real control real enduranse, real custom, but more surprising news is it has completely water and dust free body.
Newly developped “mag-oil” enabled filling the gap between body and main shaft. As a result, every angler can enjoy salt water fishing with smooth retrieving because you don’t have to worry about rust.
Moreover, complete water and dust proof has brought quite light roter because roter does not need to cover the body anymore.
So although the weight itself is rather heavy compared to other Daiwa reels, you will never feel heaviness because front part of reel is quite right.
This Sertate will open up entire new world of spinning fishing.
Is this a brand new crankbait of some famous manufactuarer? The answer is yes and no. This crankbait is “Depper” of TH tackle run by pro-angler Teiji Hamada. What it differs from other crankbait is lip, which is not just flat but has some lower lip to make subtle bottom contact.
TH tackle participated in Japanese bass event this May and let customers paint lures as they want. This is one of them.
Not bad at all!! Looks like tempt a lot of bass.
Daiwa’s baitcasting reel “pixy”used to be one of the best seller reel until a few years ago. Quite a few anglers have been waiting for next model since Pixy stopped to sell. Pixy was second to none to cast finesse lure with light line.
Nowadays, senior anglers prefer baitcasting reels for finesse rig instead of spnning reel making the most of cast acuracy and quick retrieve. But there were some problem about baitcasting reel, namely bucklush and distance. Pixy was the only baitcasting reel that solved such problem.
Px68 made its debut in such circmustance, no wonder most shop sold it out very soon. The difference from ex-Pixy is gear ratio, 5.8:1 to 6.8:1. As a result, new Pixy enables anglers to retrive more quickly right after fish bite, preventing from hanging by grasses or trees.
And this is very important. New Pixy does never need any tuning like other baitcasting reels. You have only to buy it at a shop, and you can enjoy finesse baitcasting fishing.
The first tournament of W.B.S.(world bass society)was held on 28th of this month at Japanese second biggest lake Kasumigaura.
Although condition was very tough because of freezing temperature and gust wind, 35 teams fished very hard to make 5 limit.
Winner’s tactics was fast retrieve of small shad. Using Kuwase shad of Nories with slow action rod and nylon line, loose reel drag made prespone bass chase the lure and bite it.
One more technique is keeping rod upright when retrieving to prevent lure from bottom contact.
Anyhow, all I can say is to win the tournament in this seoson is extremely difficult. So this victory is very valuable.

Japanese bass fishing tournament organization W.B.S. (world bass society)has reached 20 years old. So, 20th anniversary party was held at Tokyo Prince Hotel gathering more than 200 people, anglers, manufacturers, press, and families.
It is very strange to say that W.B.S. is the only tournament by bass boat and and fish with 2 anglers.
W.B.S. has been adopted team tournament since very begining to avoid unfairness. And W.B.S. has boat regulation which is any boat has to be more than 15feet 70hp. for big lake tournament.
That is why W.B.S. is regarded as genuine tournament just like that of USA.
Now that party is over, W.B.S. tournament gonna start at the end of this month
Isn’t it excting? (Zugaaaaan)
What seized my heart among new fishing tackle of this year is Daiwa Z2020.
We have to admit that Daiwa’s baitcasting reels were very good at handling light and ultra light rig, but not heavy rig.
So, a lot of Daiwa fans have been waiting for baitcasting reel that can throw from average to heavy lure far long.
Now their dream has come true. This Z2020 shows its ability when you use spinerbait crankbait, topwater plug and jig or texas rig of 10g over.
It’s castability and smooth retrive is qiute unbelivable.
A hundred words can never cope with actual experience. So I would suggest you to try it once.
You will never regret. Zugaaaan

Although held every year, fishing tackle show is really something that excite Japanese anglers each year. Osaka and Yokohama show were held in this Feb. gathered tremendous number of people from all over Japan.
In spite of serious economic recession, fishing seems still vigorous in Japan. A lot of new products that were introduced at the show proves that.
I will pick them one by one on this website.
So you please watch it out!!![AM8C0193[1]](http://www.japan-lures.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/AM8C01931-300x159.jpg)
Not only when bass eat crawfish as main bait, but all the year round craw type worm is one of the most effective lure in Japan. I guess same as USA or other countries. So, Japanese anglers have never forgotten to keep craw worm in their tacklebox for years.
But, nowadays there are too many kind of craw worm in Japan. The brushhog was the first craw worm introduced in Japan almost 20 years ago. Many similar type have been born every year, and each of them showed their performance well. That means there has been a lot of argument which is the best craw worm.
The one that finished such argument is “Dolive craw” of O.S.P. I guess nobody would disagree.
What Dolive craw differs from others is nothing but its lively action created by extremely soft material. Every section plays part quite effectively, and seduce fish whenever it is in the water. Falling in the water, staying at bottom, Dolive craw acts as if it is live bait.
That’s why this is regarded a craw worm like no other.
“Do” is a kind of Japanese emphasize expression, so Dolive craw means “very live” craw. Good name, isn’t it? (zugaaaan)![main[1]](http://www.japan-lures.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/main1-300x193.jpg)
